Personal Data: View and Removal Info
We gather three types of information
There are three types of information we gather. How to view/delete this information is explained below.
Publicly available records
Usually known as "public records", this information includes data that's reported by official government agencies throughout the U.S. This can include your addresses, phone numbers and other data that
you can see by running a search on this site. We don't create these records, we simply aggregate them and make them easily searchable for our users.
How to delete
To delete public record information (records you see when you run searches on this site), please use our
opt out tool.
Info needed to create an account on this site
This is the information you provide if you register an account on this site. This typically includes your name, email address, username and password.
How to view/delete
If you have previously created an account on this site and you wish to view/download/delete your personal data, please
login to your account first. Once
you have logged in you will be taken to your account management page where you can view all of the personal data we have stored for you. You can delete your account and all of your personal data from that page.
Family tree records created by you
After you have created an account on this site, you can create your own family tree and add records yourself.
How to view/delete
If you've added family tree records, you can view them by clicking
here after you are signed in to the site.
From there you can edit or delete any records or trees you've created. Note: If you decide to delete your account and also want to delete your family tree, please make sure to delete the tree BEFORE you delete
the account, because once you delete your account you won't be able to access the family tree records you've created.
